HELLO! I'M JENNIFER!

I'm the person behind all the photos you see on this site. I've been doing photography for 5 years professionally since attending Lamar University as a film student. I originally bought my first camera, a Canon 7DSLR for film production purposes, however, my roommate at the time (also a film student) began taking a few classes in photography and would often use me as her model. I'd want to edit my own photos and so she would give me advice, tutorial videos, and critique my work. Soon I began finding jobs and gigs doing photography myself, and I slowly started building my portfolio.

 

Once I transferred to Texas State University in 2013 though is when my passion for photography began. Within my first semester I had sorority sisters come to me for senior photos; friends from high school would request I photograph their weddings, engagements, and maternity photos. I didn't have any professional training, had taken no classes, just the tutorial videos, articles online, and inspiration from Pinterest. Yet, I was able to quit my part-time retail job the spring of my junior year due to the numerous photo session bookings I was receiving!
